The Montgomery County Visitors Bureau website offers a listing of the restaurants available. There is also a Montgomery County guide in the cabin. Unfortunately, we have been unable to find a consistent combination of a romantic atmosphere and good food/service.

Eat in! If you really want to get away from the world, we offer a Steak or Chicken Dinner Option. With these options, you'll find the food in your refrigerator when you arrive to prepare at your leisure. The Dinner options include 6 oz. bacon-wrapped beef tenderloins perfect for outdoor grilling or individually frozen lightly breaded chicken breasts stuffed with your choice of broccoli and cheese or swiss cheese and ham (cordon bleu) ready for baking. With either selection, you will also find potatoes ready for baking, canned fruit, soda and cheesecake in your cabin in addition to all the breakfast food. The steak dinner for two is $25, and the chicken dinner is $20. Please notify us at least one week prior to your reservation if you would like to purchase these options.

Do you allow pets?
We do not allow pets. Wasatch Lake near Poland, Indiana, allows pets in their simple cottages around a lake.

Is WIFI/cell phone service available at the cabins?
Since most of our guests want to get away from the world, our cabins do not have WIFI. If life just won't let you escape, however, the Thorntown Public Library has WIFI. Cell phone providers, except for AT&T, have limited service in our area. There is a phone in the cabin which you may use for domestic calls.

Is there a grocery store nearby?
The nearest full-service grocery store is 12 miles away in Crawfordsville. Take State Road 47 to Crawfordsville and turn right at the first stoplight. Kroger will be on the right side. There is a mini-mart in Thorntown and a Dollar General and mini-mart in Darlington.

Do you host weddings?
Since our cabins were built specifically as romantic getaway cabins for couples, we are not able to accommodate anything but very small weddings (maybe 6 people) due to the lack of group facilities, restrooms, parking, etc. Other possible locations might be Stone Creek Lodge in Crawfordsville, Darlington Conservation Club in Darlington, The Barn of Coatesville, Hidden Hollow Farm or The Barn at Kennedy Farm. Additional ideas may be found at the Montgomery County Visitors Bureau website.

Are the cabins the same?
Our two cabins have the same floor plan; they are a mirror image of each other. Containing the same amenities, they feature unique decors.
